Template notice. This is a starting template. Review it with a qualified professional and adapt it to your jurisdiction before publishing.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ArtistLog application and website ("the Service"). By downloading, installing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Use of the Service

ArtistLog is a personal productivity tool for musicians. You may use it for lawful purposes only. You are responsible for the content you create, import and store, and for keeping your device and backups secure.

2. Your data and content

You retain all rights to the data and content you add to the Service. Because the app is local-first, your data is stored on your device. Backups and exports are described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups.

3. AI features

Some features use third-party AI (Google Vertex AI) to generate text, summaries and structured suggestions. AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete and should be reviewed before you rely on it. You are responsible for verifying any AI-assisted result.

4. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers, including Google Vertex AI and public data sources such as Wikidata, Wikimedia and RSS news publishers. Their availability and terms are outside our control.

5. Intellectual property

The ArtistLog name, app and website, excluding your content, are owned by us and protected by applicable laws. You may not copy, modify or redistribute the Service except as permitted by law.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that data will never be lost.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the Service.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Informational content and accuracy

ArtistLog includes content sourced from public databases (Wikidata, Wikimedia and similar sources) as well as content generated or translated by AI systems. This includes, but is not limited to, composer and instrument-maker biographies, catalog data, timeline information, AI-written summaries, Discover stories and translated text.

All such content is provided for informational purposes only. It may be incomplete, inaccurate, out of date or mistranslated. ArtistLog makes no representations as to the accuracy, completeness or reliability of this content. You are solely responsible for verifying any information before relying on it. Nothing in the app constitutes verified academic, scientific, historical or professional fact.
